Do I have to be flexible?

No, in fact, yoga is ideal for people who want to improve their flexibility. 

If I have a health issue should I check with my doctor before starting yoga classes?

Yes. Depending on the issue would determine which healthcare professional you ask. For example, if you are seeing an osteopath for joint or muscular problems then ask their advice. If you are seeing your doctor for a healthcare issue then ask their advice.

How long before the class should I eat?

Ideally, eat around 2 and a half hours before the class.

Can I drink water during the class?

Historically with heat generating yoga classes we don’t drink during the class as we are intentionally heating the inside of the body as we breathe and move, and water cools the body down. But I always recommend keeping water nearby and having some if you want to!

Do you give instruction throughout the class?

Yes. I give verbal as well as visual instruction and modifications to poses to suit everyone.

Can anyone see me on zoom?

At the beginning, you can choose to see people if you wish (there are often lots of Hellos and how are yous!). Once the class begins I put everyone on mute and you will only see me.
